STEP-BY-STEP PAINT COVERAGE CALCULATOR To find out how much paint you need, measure the height and width of each wall, subtract doors and windows, and calculate your total wall area in square metres. Multiply your wall area by the number of coats required. Be sure to add some more paint for touch- up application to ensure complete coverage and a seamless finish. Same as above, you can divide total area coverage (in square metres) with the amount of paint coverage given on the Dulux (paint) tin or digital product information to calculate how many litres of paint you'll need.
