The Adani Group’s businesses are largely centered around infrastructure and energy, so venturing into the technological sector is challenging. However, Ambani and Tata have already built their presence in the consumer business with MyJio and Neu. ADANI’S ENTRY INTO THE CUSTOMER- CENTRIC BUSINESS For quite a while now, Indian businesses have watched how the Alibaba Group Holding Limited and Tencent Holdings Ltd have kept over 1.4 billion Chinese glued to their smartphones. From chatting and shopping to booking taxis and ordering food, everything can be done online these days. Because of the rising number of digital customers, Indian firms have also decided to develop all-in-one apps through which they can bring all their consumer businesses to the same platforms.

  4. THE INTRODUCTION OF THE ADANI ONE APP Adani One has mostly been a travel app. It allows people to book hotels and flights and access services at the airport. The transactions on the app reached INR 750 crore in the 12 months that ended in March 2024. Because of the limited traction gained by Ambani’s MyJio and Tata’s Neu despite their extraordinary customer base, the Adani Group may face a difficult challenge in achieving the required popularity for its super app.

The company supplies natural gas and electricity to over 13 million Indian households. It also operates electric vehicles and charging stations in different corners. The company also sells raw ingredients, edible oils, and processed food under its Fortune brand. It also operates an extensive food distribution network in the country. The conglomerate is also known for its excellent presence in the real estate sector. Gautam Adani believes that all these could eventually allow it to reach millions of end users. It will also be able to bring all these people together on the same platform using the application itself.
