  1. 7 Christmas Costumes that you can Make at Home

  2. Christmas is celebrated all around the world. It's a truly wonderful time of year, but sometimes it can be stressful as well. Lots of ideas and projects for Christmas with our families trotting through our heads and hard to decide which one is which. So, we've created this guide to help you choose easy Christmas costumes that work for everyone, even those who aren't into fashion or cosplay! Let us help you look great and feel great this Christmas. First off, let's start with what to wear:

  3. Elf on the Shelf Elf on the Shelf Our first suggestion is inspired by the elf on the shelf look, but this outfit will definitely be more comfortable to move around in. First of all, elves are supposed to wear green! As for the pants, they should cover up your feet completely. If that seems like too much work then go for leggings instead since they're easier to put on without any assistance. And please avoid putting shoes on your pets if you plan on dressing them up as elves - keep the costumes only for yourself. You can use bits of fabric or faux fur to make collars with pointy ears attached, which are really cute additions to both costumes and accessories!

  4. Snowman Snowman If you're not afraid of getting a little active then this is definitely the latest for you! All you need is a soft brown blanket, about 5 minutes of your time, and some creativity. Start by making one hole per arm in the centre of each side of the blanket - they should be long enough to reach all the way down to your feet. Then simply put on some boots underneath your costume (don't forget plenty of socks!) before adding the two holes for legs which should also extend down towards your feet. Make it look like one big snowball with small holes for eyes and mouth! You can wear a scarf around your neck before attaching the head to cover up any gaps, although this isn't necessary.

  5. Christmas Fairy Christmas Fairy This cute outfit takes inspiration from the Christmas fairy and it's much safer than any of the other options we've seen so far. Like elves, fairies wear green. For your elf’s accessories start with a hooded cape that covers their neck and face, then add some leaf or flower accessories to form a collar. The beautiful wings included in this outfit will help you fly through crowds without bumping into anyone, which is very important when shopping for presents. All you need now is a wand and some elf ears to complete the look, both of which are simple enough to make on your own with the help of some felt and wire.

  6. Tree Tree If you're looking for an easy way to dress up as a tree then this is definitely the best option, especially if you want to celebrate with your pets too since they can join in on all the fun! The most important part of this costume is the green base - choose whatever shape or size works best for your body. If you're not into the idea of wearing stockings for this outfit then you can always use paint to make some simple green pants instead. The rest of the costume is much simpler, consisting of branches and leaves that will complete your look in no time at all.

  7. Mr. and Mrs. Claus Mr. and Mrs. Claus This theme definitely works best for couples and families. The outfit is simple since all you need are red clothes decorated with white fur or fake snowflakes - we recommend finding a top hat if possible because they look much better than Santa hats in our opinion! Your elf on the shelf pet should also get involved in this fun idea so dress them up as an elf just like everyone else! For your face, stick to the usual makeup that involves painting your nose black and adding white dots on top of that. You can even draw some lines around your eyes if you really want to feel like Santa Claus!

  8. Ice Skating Ice Skating This idea for a DIY Christmas costume is perfect when paired with others who are also dressed up as winter athletes - no one wants to see people wearing the same thing right? Choose between either ice skating or skiing depending on which sport you prefer most and then find suitable clothes that fit that theme. We recommend finding an outfit that's similar in colour to what is typically worn by real skaters/skiers so they don't stand out too much. Don't forget about your elf on the shelf since they'll need their own elf clothes in order to completely complete the theme. To complete your winter sports outfit, pick up some colourful fake flowers and place them in your hair just like real ice skaters would do. You can also find some ribbons that are the same colour as your outfit and tie them around your wrists for decoration or just to add a little flair to this fun Christmas costume idea!

  9. Snowflake Fairy Snowflake Fairy This one is similar to the Christmas elf theme, but with a few twists! The outfit works best for women who like to wear long dresses but you can easily alter it by wearing short shorts/pants if you prefer. For the dress, choose either white or silver depending on which colour looks better on you. Don't forget to paint your face with light dots of colour or fake freckles! You can also decorate your outfit by adding some fake flowers around your neck or even painting a red ribbon on the back of your dress if you want.

  10. Now that you've got ideas from our list suggestions, you can now make your Holiday Season as creative and amazing as you can be. So don't confine yourself with those expensive pre-made costumes. If you think your creative imagination has no boundaries, then go ahead and build your own personal masterpiece!
