  1. What Do Professors Think Of Students Who Fall Asleep In Class Students are often under stress and pressure to do well or submit that vital assignment. This is usually seen as a good practice that prepares a student for the rigors of professional life. However, this can also lead to mental breakdowns and other ailments for students. This is why students fall asleep during their classes. However, stress is not the only factor that induces sleep; there can be many other reasons separate from education. Professors and teachers don't like students sleeping in their classes, and most would further compound the problem with punishments. Following is a small insight into what professors think of students who fall asleep in the class. 1. Boring Subject Ask any student why they slept during the class, and the answer would be the same; the lecture was boring. Most professors understand and accept this fact, but very few work to improve their style to improve the situation. If teachers think that their style is not the reason, they should consider other professions. The subject can also make the class boring, but it makes it interesting. Fortunately, many professors acknowledge the fact and consider it a leading factor in students napping in the class. 2. Medical Issues Professors are only interested in teaching; very few try to understand their students. If the whole class is awake and engaged, then the subject or the style is not the issue. Intelligent teachers immediately recognize that there are some medical issues with a student. Some students suffer from narcolepsy, where they cannot control their sleep patterns. A good professor works with such students instead of punishing and humiliating them.
