About this template Introduction – Covid 19 on Academics • The pandemic spread of Novel Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has significantly disrupted every aspects of human life, including education. • Education demands evaluation of students, but also of systems – and constant reflection if it is to stay relevant. • Covid has large impact on Health, Technological, Economic, Social and legal aspects on students life. • Many children do not have a desk, books, internet connectivity, a laptop at home, or supportive parents in low income and poorer nations. • Virtual teaching is fairly new situation to Nepal government, Nepali parents and Nepali students.

  10. Right to Education ARTICLE 31 (Constitution of Nepal 2015 ) Education is not only a fundamental human right. It is an enabling right with direct impact on the realization of all other human rights.

This is sad  Lets Start Early • The education disruption will continue to have substantial effects, extending beyond education. • Food insecurity, economic instability, Domestic Violence and abuse against women and girls. • Early and forced marriages, Physical health, Nutrition & Psychological impact. • With the number of people in extreme poverty due to COVID-19 projected to increase between 71 and 100 million, projected-poverty-impacts-of-COVID-19. should be paid to dropouts. • Pipeline effects – Technological, Legal, Economic, Quality, Timely, Health (Physical & Psychological ) & Social Status.

From Teacher Perspectives: • Teacher are responsible for engaging, inspiring, and promoting a sense of innovation. • Virtual Classroom must be groundwork for abstract thinking and awareness. • Teacher must focus on classroom life. • Teaching and Learning mustdevelop innovation, initiative, social skills, and creative representation. • Change Protocol – Get out of Comfort Zone – Change Styles – Make Virtual Learning Productive.

Role of Educators – BabalRamailo Education • Teacher needs to guide the student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.  • Teacher needs to develop the kind of creativity and help teachers looking to integrate elements on their lessons. • Must work to drive Academic Achievement. • Must Improve Decision-Making Skills. • Must Refines Creativity. • Must develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. • Must encourage holistic learning all throughout a STUDENTS academic life through ECA. • ( Animated video, real life examples, presentations, participation, games, activities, adding arts, PODCASTS, reward system, Group works, Learning with fun, Flashcards, etc. )

  15. As an academic activist, my viewpoint on current situation is, ‘Lets take this as an opportunity to uplift our self and take this on situation on remarkable action’. ( KEEP IT SIMPLE )

  17. The Government of Nepal made a slow start in its response to the spread of the virus despite its rapid spread in many countries including its neighboring countries. The first case of COVID-19 was formally identified on January 25, 2020 when a 32-year Nepali student returning from the city of Wuhan, China was tested positive.

  18. 28.3 Million Some 23.8 million additional children and youth (from pre-primary to tertiary) may drop out or not have access to school by 2021 due to the pandemic’s economic impact alone. - Global Education Coalition covened by UNESCO.

SDG 4, Quality Education must be maintained. This is New NORMAL. Make Strategies, Take Actions, Work with Joint collaboration & Lets create impact.

Conclusion and Remarks on TOPIC Putting my remarks with the example of My Foundation. • Putting strategies in place to ensure children return to school when they reopen. • Introducing evidence-based interventions to recover lost learning. • Using local volunteers and locally trained facilitators to support learning. • Supporting through both online and off-line methods. • Moving to digital infrastructure. • Using new approaches to assessment. • Training teachers to run online classes and consider students’ access to technology. • Prioritizing opportunities for authentic learning. • Engage with parents & Knowing Importance of Education. • ECA, PARTNERSHIP & COLLABORATION. • ESSENCE OF STEAM EDUCATION.
