About Us Abbington Contracts is a company that was formed by the same director of SGC in Ireland which initially specialised in extension and refurbishment contracts of both residential & commercial properties in Dublin City Centre. Eventually after a number of years SGC branched into the maintenance of private and commercial buildings in the Greater Dublin area. The maintenance division came about with a light bulb moment, after a sister of an existing client called while she was in Dubai on Christmas Day. The house that she owned back in Ireland was rented and just as the tenants were about to sit down to the Christmas dinner the electric went out with no obvious cause. In despair she contacted her brother who in turn gave her SGC details, who along with his electrician travelled to her property on Christmas Day to literally save the turkey! It turned out to be a faulty socket shorting out.

Our Client’s sister could not believe the level of service she had received and upon her return to Ireland met up with the director of SGC and it was at this point that she queried whether we could provide her with such a service again. Three years later and we had a host of repeat customers with SGC holding keys for houses belonging to High Court Judges, Bankers and some of the country’s top business people in the event they might be on holiday and something could go wrong. So with this experience and work ethic we set up our UK company Abbington Contracts & Services UK with a vision to do the same if you have a problem even on Christmas Day!
