  13. Work Options During the Course In recent years, the UK immigration rules have changed a lot. As an international student and Tier-4 student visa holder, you have to comply with the rules laid down by the government to avoid any ramifications. During the Semester Maximum of 20 hours per week of paid/unpaid work for those studying at degree level or above. On Vacation International students are allowed to work full-time during semester-breaks. Points to Note Self-employment options like freelance work is not permitted.   15. Post-Study Work Visa In the UK 2 Years Stay-Back in the UK The UK government has announced the comeback of Post-Study Work (PSW) visa for international students. This came as a pleasant surprise and made the UK even more attractive for study abroad aspirants. Under this scheme, candidates who start their courses from 2020/21 at the undergraduate level or higher are eligible to work or look for work in the UK, for a period of two years before needing to convert to a different visa or having to leave the country. Before this announcement came, Bachelor’s or Master's degree holders could stay for only four months in the UK to look for a job, but now it’s 24 months.
