2. BILL OF MATERIALS KITTING Accolent ERP provides full support for kitting which allows sale of stock items individually and/or as kits. Inventory can be kept by the Kit or by the Kit components. Bill of materials (BOM) supports simple assembly or light manufacturing. Pricing can be assigned by the Kit or as total price of the Kit component items plus an optional Kit discount. Use the BOM functionality to: •formulate subassemblies into finished goods •assign differing valuations for work in process •supports batch creation of unfinished items while assembling •designated Protected Stock is protected from order entry allocation during assembly Costs can be kept by the Kit or by the component items   in the Kit.
