Derived from a Latin word “candelabrum” meaning candlestick, Chandeliers use incandescent light bulbs. Some modern designs of chandeliers also use fluorescent lamps and LED lights too. Historically, chandeliers have been a status symbol and were exclusive to the royalty and the higher classes. People often confuse chandeliers with pendant lights. For example, a dining room needs 2000-3000 lumens of lighting whereas living room lighting must be 1500-3000 lumens. 4.For Low-height spaces: For low ceilings, one must go with the designs that are equipped with cool lights.
