  1. Dry Skin: What Causes It & What Can Be Done To Treat It?

  2. Why is Skin Suddenly Dry? Dry skin, also known as “Xeroderma,” is caused by a lack of water in our skin’s outer layer, the “Epidermis.” This is a common skin condition that can affect men and women of all ages. Due to a lack of natural skin oils and lubricants, older people are thought to be more vulnerable. Normally, it lasts a few days or weeks, although it can sometimes grow more severe and long-term. However, in the vast majority of situations, treatment is possible. Simply examine around the patchy parts of your body, such as the back, arms, sides of the abdomen, thighs, waist, and legs, to determine if you have a dry skin problem (particularly lower legs)

  3. Symptoms of Dry Skin Symptoms of dry skin may vary from person to person, depending upon your age, health, weather, genetics or family history, location, and how much time you remain outdoors. The Chances of having this disorder is even higher in winter and dry climates. • Dry skin is most often characterized by itching • Having rough skin or feeling tight after bathing, showering, and swimming • Red patches on the skin • People with a dark complexion usually have an ashy gray complexion • Scaling or epidermis loss (loss of the upper layer of skin) • There are wrinkles and red marks on the skin Visit the Skin Care Specialist in Coimbatore to cure your dry skin problem early, when you find the above symptoms.

  4. Major Causes of Dry Skin • Chemical-based soaps (with deodorant) and detergents are “like a wash and drain,” meaning that when you wash your body, they eliminate all moisture and the skin’s protective oils. • Because of changes in our hormones, our skin gets dry and thin as we age. • Our mothers taught us to wash our hands frequently, but if we have dry skin, this is not a good idea because constant hand washing can cause our skin to crack or dry out. • Avoid wearing uncomfy attire, even if it makes you look handsome/beautiful. If it irritates or itches you, don’t wear it. • Even if you look handsome/beautiful in a sweater, avoid wearing uncomfy clothing. Don’t wear it if it causes irritation or itching. • Medical conditions, like diabetes psoriasis, eczema skin disease, etc.
