  2. What Is B Tech (Bachelor Of Technology)? Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a professional undergraduate Engineering degree programme offered to candidates after completing two years of High School education. This undergraduate programme is a gateway to your career in engineering. In India, a B.Tech degree is offered across various specialisations. Some of the more prominent ones are as follows:

It reflects in the cut off that top engineering colleges such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Indraprastha Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) as well as some of the best central universities command from their respective applicants to enrol them for this programme.   6. What Is The Difference Between A BE And BTech Degree? The key difference between the two-degree programmes is their course material offered and the Approach of teaching. Both BE and B.Tech degrees offer students an opportunity to pursue a career in Engineering. The courses are of a duration of 4-years and are spread across 8 semesters. Primarily there are two kinds of a engineering programme: • 3-year BE/B.Tech after Diploma in Engineering • 4-year BE/B.Tech after Class 12 The four-year programme offers more rigour to students and covers more concerning the depth of the curriculum.

Eligibility Criteria For BE/BTech The basic eligibility requirement for admissions to any BTech programme is: • Candidates must have passed the Class 10+2 exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. • They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects combined.
