  2. Charts and publications as the name suggests are the maps that are used for marine time navigation. It’s important to have the charts from the offshore supplier since it shows the route to the destination.For marine navigation, the maps are important for the ship’s crew and captain. The maps have utmost precision and it consists of the geography of a particular water area, the depth of the water in that area and the route navigation information. Notes of the chart – Once you are aware of the scales of the charts obtained from the offshore supplier, read down the notes which are also found below the chart name. Know that the notes will contain every important information regarding the navigation through the particular area covered by the chart. The information will include any of the submarine areas, anchoring, fishing areas or any other additional information.
