  3. Participants will be taught the most outrageous dances of that Gilded Age, the waltz and tango.

  4. Corrine will lead the class. There is no prior experience required (and there are no partners required)! We will provide light refreshments following the end of the session Beginner Dance Workshop Florida.

  5. The tango and the waltz were well-known dances during the Gilded Age, but each was seen as scandalous at the time they were introduced. Before the waltz, dancers held their hands. In the waltz dance, the gentleman was able to wrap his arms around his lady, and the lady placed her hand on the gentleman's shoulder.
