  1. How can I become a better instructor? Do you want to know how to become an instructor? Well, the answer is simple and short. The first step is to decide your field of interest in teaching. Is it for personal or professional satisfaction? If you are satisfied with the career you are pursuing, then that is the right choice for you. Once you have decided on what level of education you will pursue, you can start thinking about the various degrees available to you. Teaching requires a Bachelor's degree, so you must take that into consideration. However, if you want to teach middle school students, you might be interested in a Master's degree as well. An advanced degree such as a PhD, may provide you with a higher starting salary when you get out into the field. How will you pay for your education? You can pay in one of two ways: through loans from your state or through student loans. There are also some private grants, which can help you pay for your education. If you do not qualify for federal student aid, you can apply for state loans. When you get accepted into a college or university, you will be given a notice of acceptance, and you can begin the application process. In order to successfully complete the application process, you must be prepared to demonstrate your teaching skills.
