  1. 6 Important Things to Do When Checking Into an All-Inclusive Resort Seasoned travelers with more than a few all-inclusive stays know that quality can vary from resort to resort. While many of the resorts here have similar concepts and designs, the differences tend to get closer and may not be communicated during the booking process. And the larger the complex, the more difficult it will be to ask a member of staff to chat, especially with substantial lines at the front desk. That is why the check-in process is the best opportunity to clear things up. Here are six things to ask for at the start of your vacation.

  2. 1. Do we need to make reservations for restaurants (and is there a dress code?) Nothing is more insulting than being told you can't get a table at the best all- inclusive Cabo resorts online, as you don't have a reservation. Many high-end resorts, which have nine gourmet restaurants, do not require dinner reservations, but they do not all operate in the same way. Some resorts not only make reservations mandatory but require strict morning hours for reservations; at other resorts, you will need to book upon arrival or even occasionally prior to your stay. Worse still, there may be a limit to the number of reservations you can have per stay, leaving you with no choice but to go to the buffet many nights. On the positive side, some resorts may assign butler service to help with the reservation process. This is why it is best to get the scoop right from the start. And as we talk about it, ask us if there is a dress code as well. It's also worth checking if any of the a la carte restaurants incur additional fees; In some cases, there may be a charge just for dining in the restaurant, while others a la carte may charge extra for certain drinks or dishes, such as fine wines and lobster. 2. What is the entertainment schedule? Getting a nightlife schedule and entertainment options at check-in isn't always a guarantee. If this is a key part of your experience, ask the front desk for a summary of what will happen that week. It also doesn't hurt to ask their opinion on which are the best shows. Most of the large family complexes have large theaters with several shows a day, some are geared towards children and others are for adults. Theaters often have a bar where attendees can also order drinks. Shows can evolve into live music in the casino or in a nightclub with blaring dance songs. Entertainment can also fall into the category of romantic. For example, at Villa, Del Parmar, the guests can sip wine by an outdoor fire and listen to live jazz or sneak up to the piano bar to sing late-night songs.

  3. 3. What water sports and day trips are included? Most mid-range tropical,Los Cabos all-inclusive resorts will have non-motorized water sports (like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling). Some, however, still charge a nasty fee or require strict time limits of one hour per day, or worse, per week. Then there are exclusive properties, such as Villa Del Parmar, the top Cabo resort online 2021 which offers a number of free activities. Those interested in scuba diving can schedule private half-day charters and take PADI to learn how to dive. Advanced surfers can also request a boat trip to famous spots on a nearby reef called Cloudbreak and Restaurants. 4. What is the tipping policy? Not only is this a key area of difference between cultures, it is also an area of variation between resorts. Some all-inclusive hotels automatically add a 10% (or more) service to the rate, so ask at the front desk while checking in. Unfortunately, many of the people who work at these complexes receive very low pay and rely on tips for income. When traveling internationally, exchange cash for local currency beforehand (although it is true that most will happily accept USD). If service is not included, or if the resort does not have a tipping policy, tip the same way you would anywhere else (15-20 percent). Even though tips are apparently covered at many all- inclusive resorts, it's generally a good idea to tip anyway; the staff will appreciate it. However, be aware that in some resorts, such as the Villa Del Parmar, top Cabo resort online 2021, tip policies are different. Most Americans who are familiar with the all-inclusive drill will bring a wad of dollar bills to hand out to waiters, servers, doormen, and housekeepers. 5. Are minibar items and room service free? It's worth asking. At the least, many rooms have free water bottles. Some even offer full minibar access with free soft drinks, beer, and snacks; coffeemakers are also provided. Spain-based Riu stations offer branded liquor dispensers and 24-hour room service (both free). At the Villa Del Parmar, the best all-inclusive Cabo resorts

  4. online rooms feature menus featuring lobster and steak, as well as a built-in room service box and a special "do not disturb" outdoor setting for maximum privacy. Drinks can also be ordered through room service, but there is no bottle service, so some guests may end up ordering multiple glasses at once. 6. Is there an upgrade option? Depending on the availability of the resort, and time of year, an upgrade can be obtained for a normal fee. Find out from the reception what are the options and benefits of moving forward. For example, at Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana, the adults-only Royal Service suites feature whirlpool tubs and access to special areas of the complex, including a private pool and beach, as well as an exclusive lounge with cocktails, canapés, and beautiful views. Guests also have access to other restaurants, such as Palazzo, which are not offered at all. The upgrade option is especially a good idea for those who want to feel a bit more like a VIP and stay away from children.
