  1. How to fix your frozen Mac computer • Are you getting frustrated from your frozen Mac and don’t know what to do? There is no need to worry if your Mac computer is freezing or getting slow. We are here to help you fix your Mac if it is freezing. The problem creates when you are about to complete a project, and you need to reboot your PC, and because of that, you lose all your work. It looks like you will never finish your task. Therefore, we have included some methods to fix the freezing issues on your Mac, along with detailed steps to identify the problem from the root. So, let’s try to fix the freezing problems on a Mac computer.  • https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  2. Force Stop unresponsive apps • First, you have to make sure if an app is causing the issue. If an app on a PC is freezing, it can cause a Mac to lock. So, if an app has stopped working and you are trying to exit it but fail, then, in that case, press Ctrl and hit the app icon from the Dock and take the mouse pointer on the Quit button. Both Hold Option and Quit allow you to Force Quit the app. • You can also try a different way to access the Force Quit window by using Opt+Cmd+Esc. After accessing the window, locate the app that you have to close and hit Force Quit and again press Force Quit to confirm the prompt. You can also try relaunching the app if Finder isn’t working.  • https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  3. Reset the System Management Controller • The System Memory Controller is responsible for many things on your Mac, including battery management, keyboard backlighting, etc. So, if your Mac often freezes, you can try resetting the SMC.  • If you have a MacBook that hasn’t a T2 Security Chip, you must first shut it down. After that, hit Shift+Ctrl+Opt and the power button at once. Don’t release all these keys until 10 seconds. Now turn on your computer by clicking the power button. In the case of a Mac desktop that hasn’t a T2 chip, you have to turn it off and then disconnect the power cord and don’t plug it until 15 seconds. Plug it again and switch on your computer.   • https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  4. Reset PRAM/NVRAM • There are some settings on Mac that are quickly accessed by the computer and such settings are stored under Mac’s PRAM and NVRAM (small sections of memory). If they have any errors, they can cause your Mac to freeze. So, resetting them may fix the freezing issue. Both share the same resetting process. First, you have to shut down your Mac and then power it on and instantly use the shortcut: Opt+Cmd+P+R. Don’t release these keys until 20 seconds, and the Mac may reboot at this time.  • If you hear a startup sound on your Mac while powering it on, do free the keys as the sound starts. If your Mac combines a T2 chip, you will need to release them as the Apple logo appears.  • https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  5. Boot up in the safe mode • You can try booting up your Mac in safe mode. This act may fix many problems linked with freezes and let you know why the issue is. Safe mode checks the startup disk and also stops some apps and processes from working.  • First, to boot a Mac in safe mode, turn off your Mac and instantly power it on and click and hold the Shift key. Do free the Shift key as the login window appears. In case of the encryption of the startup disk, you may need to log in two times: once while unlocking the startup disk and secondarily while logging into Finder.  • https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  6. Run the Apple Diagnostic Test and Apple Hardware Test on older Macs • If you are still experiencing freezing, you should also make sure whether the issue is from the hardware end. To fix the problem from the hardware end, you will need to run the Apple Diagnostic Test. To do so, start by unplugging all external devices, excluding keyboard, mouse, display, power cord, and Ethernet connection if you have any. After that, power off your Mac, and before that, ensure that you have placed your Mac on a solid and flat surface, which should have proper ventilation.  • Now power on your Mac and instantly click and hold the D key. Don’t release this key until you see a screen explaining about choosing a language. So, select a language and let the diagnostic test complete. It may take a few minutes.https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/

  7. Visit an Apple Store • If you have tried every possible solution, but the freezing issue hasn’t been resolved yet, it is the time for the involvement of a professional. Consider a certified technician with proper training in diagnosing and treating Mac.  • In that case, you have to find the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider in your region. To locate the store, visit locate.apple.com and go through the on-screen guidelines.  • If you don’t want to go to Apple, you can go with a third-party repair shop that works with trained professionals in Mac repairing. That doesn’t mean that you should go to any repair shop. Always consider going to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Going to an authorized service center means you will get authenticity in replacing defective parts; also, the technicians will be experienced in the respective field. https://communityfornorton.com/ • https://ijstartcanonijsetup.wordpress.com/ • https://v8webroot.launchaco.com/
