  1. The top things to learn in School Summer Camps

  2. Summer school in Maryland teaches children independence, social skills, and teamwork, but also can help participants with perseverance, while improving their self-confidence along the way.

  3. If your child has been to our summer camp Virginia before, you know how much fun kids have as they compete in epic gaming tournaments, pie their instructors, and learn exciting new STEM skills. But a fun and engaging learning environment doesn’t mean that the entire week is rainbows and butterflies.

  4. As students put the skills they’ve learned into practice, they encounter problems: perhaps making a mobile game app is presenting unforeseen hurdles, or they can’t program their bot to navigate a particularly tight turn, or maybe their 3D model isn’t stable enough to survive the 3D printer.

  5. When we consider camp, we remember our own camp experiences or those of years past, when kids enjoyed doing everything from canoeing to crafting to eating meals in groups. This year, summer camp—if it happens at all—will look a touch different in light of COVID-19.
