The Rw we Get along with the Rw we Desire – Petrophysics Training & Courses We're mostly concerned with assessing the hydrocarbon zone, not the aquifer, but pore water can be immovable over the transition zone, and can't be purchased to surface without even bringing the stone with it. Retrieval of this Rw we need is a further benefit of coring oil zones using petroleum base mud (Sec 10.1.3.2) and if Rw is set from inside the hydrocarbon zone it's often found to differ in the aquifer worth, and change. The premise of working with an aquifer Rw to get a hydrocarbon zone is generally disregarded. Well evaluations obtained from transition zones can flow older waters compared to aquifer evaluations since drinkable water is not as likely to happen to be substituted compared to aquifer water. The aquifer might have been flushed since hydrocarbon emplacement and also have salinities unrelated into the potable water at the hydrocarbon zone.
