  2. INTRODUCTION Maple Truck Training has been teaching Class 1 and 3 truck driver school in Edmonton north for 18 years. Founded in 2003. We are one of Edmonton’s premier truck driving schools. Our instructors are exceptional in providing a student with the type of exposure and training they need to pass any class of license. Safe and secure driving is the core fundamentals of our training courses.

Courses:- • CLASS 1 M.E.L.T COURSE IN EDMONTON Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) for Commercial Drivers *$8500 As of March 1, 2019 the MELT Program is mandatory for all new Class 1 drivers. If you obtained your Class 1 driver’s license between October 10, 2018 and February 28, 2019 inclusive you must pass the enhanced knowledge and road tests by March 1, 2020.

  4. •Class 1 Work Grant Unemployed Albertans have an opportunity to start careers as commercial truck drivers through the new Driving Back to Work Grant Program. Unemployed Albertans can access funding to take the Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) program to earn a Class 1 driver’s license. •Experience and Equivalency mandatory entry- level training for Class 1 Beginning January 1, 2021, all drivers wanting to obtain their Class 3 to class 1 license must complete the Experience and Equivalency mandatory entry- level training course.
