Some of the most basic must haves have always been lipstick, blush and mascara. I never cared much for blushes in the beginning when I started out with makeup and I was always into eyeshadows and lipstick but one day when I was at a mac store, the attendant asked me to give the blushes a try and once I put it on, I was hooked completely! So today Iu2019m going to review my first blush that I had ever bought and till today is the only one I keep buying even though I have other blushes from so many different brands. So which blush you want to know? The MAC melba blush of course!

  1. Harmony Queen Makeup Blog Mac Melba Blush Review Some of the most basic must haves have always been lipstick, blush and mascara. I never cared much for blushes in the beginning when I started out with makeup and I was always into eyeshadows and lipstick but one day when I was at a mac store, the attendant asked me to give the blushes a try and once I put it on, I was hooked completely! So today I’m going to review my first blush that I had ever bought and till today is the only one I keep buying even though I have other blushes from so many different brands. So which blush you want to know? The MAC melba blush of course! The melba blush comes in a sleek black packaging with a transparent plastic lid that lets you see the shade without having to open it. While it is handy and very sturdy, I wish they had put a mirror on the inside like in their foundation packaging as blush touch ups are very frequent especially if we are out on a long day. The melba blush shade is a nice coral color and the powder is finely milled. No matter how many times I apply, I am always in awe of how well the powder applies so evenly. Coming to the disadvantage of the mac melba blush, the only one I can think of is the price. Now there are so many new brands coming that have similar quality or even better blush with much more attractive packaging that looks so amazing and all that is available at such an affordable price. Compared to them, MAC is kinda like a dinosaur; they don’t make much new innovations and they are still making the black bland packaging and charging a bomb for them. While I understand the appeal for MAC, I’m guessing just like me, even the most ardent fan of MAC will move to another brand just out of sheer affordability.
