  1. What You Need to Know before Trying 1 More Rep’s Fitness Bootcamp If you have never tried one before the idea of fitness bootcamp can be intimidating and, to be honest, they can be tough. But there’s a first time for everyone, so you’ll be in good company and hey, you have to start somewhere if you going to meet those fitness goals you’ve been aiming for – and missing. That being said, it never hurts to be prepared, and so here’s a quick guide to what you can expect from your first fitness bootcamp class at 1 More Rep. The Exercises: What to Expect Every day, and every session, is different when you sign up for a 1More Rep bootcamp. Our trainers like to mix things up and keep things fresh, because we know that if workouts are boring, people just don’t stick with them.

  2. What we can tell you is that there will be cardio, strength training and lots of sweat. There are no complicated machines to get the hang of, we keep things simple. But never easy. Expect to be pushed to your personal limit. Expect to make use of kettlebells, tyres, even park benches. And expect to be sore once the session is over, at least at first. The Instructors: What to Expect When some people hear the word bootcamp they think of rather intimidating army personnel bellowing out commands and scaring the s**t out of people. While it’s true that our founder did used to do just that for a living in the Paratroopers, and he will shout, it will only be clear instructions and encouragement. No need to be scared, we’re all mates at 1 More Rep, and the goal is to encourage and empower each other and nothing else. The Weather: What to Expect 1 More Rep bootcamps are held outside. In all weathers. So you will need to dress appropriately. If it’s drizzling it’s probably not the best day for your best gym gear. Not that you need fancy gym clothes to attend a 1 More Rep fitness bootcamp. Wear what you’re comfortable in, especially when it comes to your feet. As for extreme weather, not much stops a 1 More Rep bootcamp session. You won’t feel the cold once you get going, and as long as you’ve got your water bottle (which you always should have) the heat’s not an issue either. And snow adds resistance, so hardcore boot campers even keep going through that. In the rare event that the weather is so bad a session needs to be cancelled or delayed we’ll let you know in plenty of time. The Bootcamp Challenge: What to Expect A 1 More Rep bootcamp session isn’t easy. It’s designed to be tough. It’s designed to challenge you. But we’re not out to kill you. Before your first bootcamp session we’ll ask you to have a chat with your instructor, but not just to introduce yourself. One of the things that set our fitness bootcamp sessions apart from others is our instructors dedication to making sure that EVERYONE gets the most out of every session and that no one gets left behind. Our instructors will ask you about your current fitness level, any limitations you might have (a bad back, a dodgy knee) and tailor your session to suit you, and to challenge you without injuring you. The idea is to get stronger and fitter, not to end up in A & E.

  3. Results: What to Expect One of the big myths about fitness bootcamps is that they are only for people who are already in great shape. The fact is that 1 More Rep Bootcamps are for everyone. You’ll work out as a part of a team, but your personal workout will be tailored to help you achieve the best results for you. You can expect to get leaner, stronger and yes, tougher. Want to train to run your first marathon? We can do that, especially as our instructors have run dozens of them and have all kinds of insights to share.
