  1. SEO and Google Core Web Vitals The upcoming update to Google's search algorithm will make user experience a higher priority, according to Searchmetrics. This update will take into account onsite user experience when searchers land on a page. The algorithm is expected to begin affecting rankings in mid-June 2021. It will also be used to determine how well a website functions once searchers arrive at the page. However, 4% of websites are ready for the change, according to Searchmetrics. LCP The AMP (accelerated mobile pages) project was developed by Google to speed up web pages. By 2020, mobile traffic will make up over 50% of all organic search traffic. But, AMP is not the only factor in optimizing pages for mobile. AMP also measures other factors, including mobile-friendliness and accessibility. But while AMP and LCP measure the same things, they require different optimization measures. In order to optimize these metrics, websites can eliminate redundant code and upgrade their web hosting service. FID If your website has a high FID, it's time to optimize the speed of your website. Google's core web vitals will identify pages that load quickly, and those that take a long time will have a lower LCP score. FID is determined by several factors, including how fast the visitor can interact with the content on a page. Page speed is a crucial aspect of any search, so optimizing it should be a priority.

  2. CLS In addition to using PageSpeed Insights to determine your CLS score, you can check your website's performance with Google's Core Web Vitals. The latter provides a list of web pages with low CLS scores. You can also manually visit these pages and check if they have any elements that cause CLS. In the process, you'll learn how to improve your sites' load time. First Input Delay You've probably heard about Google's new page experience update, and have wondered if the First Input Delay metric plays a role. It's true that this metric accounts for 25% of the Google Performance Score, and it doubles as the Page Speed score in Google's PageSpeed Insights tool. But how does this metric affect your website's ranking? Here are some tips for SEO. Comparison between lab and field data If you want to understand what factors affect user experience, you should consider the difference between field and laboratory data. Field data is more real-world and represents the actual experience of users. Lab data includes data that is not relevant to your site's target market. For example, data from emerging markets may not be representative of your website because it was created using simulated hardware or the Internet on a slow phone. Also, it may not accurately represent the 75th percentile of field data.
