  1. BROTHER MFC-J497DW SETUP Brother MFC-J497DW is a multifunctional printer that supports wireless connectivity and so you can quickly connect any wireless device to it. This printer also supports mobile printing and duplex printing. Go through the instructions given on this page to know more about the Brother MFC-J497DW setup.

  2. BROTHER MFC-J497DW WIRELESS COLOR INKJET PRINTER [UNBOXING] • Unpack your printer and take out the printer supplies from the product box. • Remove all the protective tapes from the printer and make sure to recycle them. • Pull the paper input tray entirely out from the printer and open the output tray cover. • Fan a stack of legal plain paper and load the paper stack into the tray. • Close the output tray cover and refix the paper input tray into the printer.

  3. Make sure to pull out the paper support and extend the paper support flap. • Connect your BrotherMFC-J497DW printer to an electrical outlet using the supplied power cord and press the Power to turn on the printer. • Navigate to the printer's LCD panel and follow the on-screen prompts to set your basic preferences. • Lift/open the ink cartridge access door and remove the orange protective tape. • Shake the black ink cartridge gently and unpack it. Insert the black ink cartridge into the printer after removing the protective tape from it.

  4. Install all the supplied ink cartridges into the printer after removing the protective tapes from them. • If you wish to add the fax function, connect the supplied telephone line cord to your printer and configure the fax settings.

  5. Make sure to select the correct Receive mode and set your station ID. • Next, insert the supplied CD-ROM into your computer's CD/DVD drive and run the setup file. • After completing the driver installation, verify the printer functionality.
