  1. GRE Test Information, Structure and Locations GRE full form is Graduate Record Examination, and it’s taken in more than 180 countries. The time and structure of the test are almost the same globally. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) of the United States has appointed the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) to hold the GRE test in Hong Kong. The test is delivered via the internet, and it has three main sections which are further divided into tasks. Total GRE has six sections to solve within four and a half hours. All sections are designed to measure the students’ argumentative writing, problem-solving, analyzing, critical or logical thinking and analytical writing skills and their ability to analyze, evaluate, and support complicated ideas effectively and clearly.

  2. GRE Test Sections GRE in Hong Kong is composed of the following sections: 1. Analytical Writing It has two separate tasks: one task analyzes an issue, and the second analyzes an argument. 2. Verbal Reasoning It is the second part of the test, and it has two sections to solve, and each section has 20 questions. 3. Quantitative Reasoning It also has two sections with 20 questions each, and the time allowed to solve each section is the same.

  3. All sections come in order in the test. Analytical Writing is the first one, and then Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. To attain a good score, you have to prepare for each section as all questions’ score counts.
