  1. 3 Family Friendly Attractions in Antigua Antigua and Barbuda have located in West Indies sandwiched between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Antigua and Barbuda comprise two major islands: Antigua and Barbuda and smaller islands that include – Guiana, Great Bird, York Islands, Maiden and many more. St. John is its capital city as well as one of the largest ports. This beautiful island was first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493. Britain colonized Antigua in 1493 and Barbuda was the first island to be colonized in 1678.

Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Antigua and Barbuda include: Nelson’s Dockyard Location: Nelson’s Dockyard is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a marina in English Harbour situated along with Saint Paul Parish, Island of Antigua. 1. This Dockyard forms part of the Nelson’s Dockyard National Park which houses the Shirley Heights and Clarence House. 2. Every year it organizes several events like Antigua Sailing Week, Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting, and International Optimist North Delta Championship.

  3. Dickenson Bay Location: Dickenson Bay is situated on the north-west coast in Antigua next to Cedar Grove. 1. It is considered one of the most secluded beaches in Antigua and is best known for its silky white sands, crystal clear beaches. 2. The coastlines have been dotted with large resort hotels, restaurants, beach bars, a one-mile-long coral reef, and plenty of water sports.

  4. Long Island Location: Long Island is situated on the north-east coast of Antigua, along the northern tip of the Parham Peninsula. The island is at least 2.5km away from Dutchman Bay on Antigua. 1. More commonly called the Jumby Bay was first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493. 2. It is one of the best places to witness the Hawksbill sea turtles nesting on the beaches. 3. The coastline has been sprinkled with a five-star luxury hotel and it was featured in the 2013 episode of Private Island and 2017- Taboo.
