  2. Introduction The new year is a perfect time to start fresh. Whether it's your diet, your workout routine, or the shape of your body, there are many ways you can make changes for the better.

  3. Drink plenty of water daily to keep your body hydrated Drinking plenty of water will help flush out toxins, keep your skin healthy, and help with weight loss. aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.

  4. Limit sugar intake By limiting the amount of sugar you eat, you'll not only help maintain a healthy weight but you'll also be doing your body a favour by avoiding the negative effects that sugar has on health.

  5. Don't smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol excessively Cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption can have negative effects on the body, including weight gain. Smoking cigarettes can lead to a slower metabolism and increased appetite while drinking alcohol can cause dehydration and lead to weight gain as well.

  6. Wear clothes that fit well and look good on you Wearing clothes that fit well and make you feel confident is key to having a good body image. When you're wearing something that makes you look good, you'll feel better about yourself overall and this will show in your posture and attitude.

  7. Do not eat past 9 pm Eating late at night can interfere with your body's ability to burn calories. When you eat late, your body is more likely to store the calories as fat instead of burning them off. Try to make dinnertime earlier in the evening and avoid snacking after dinner.

Try adding these ingredients to your favourite recipes for some extra nutrients or keeping them on the side along with a healthy oil dressing.

  12. Get a partner to hold you accountable Having a partner to hold you accountable is a great way to stay on track with your fitness goals. When you have someone else relying on you, it's easier to make sure you show up to your workouts and stick to your diet plan.
