  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Vikrama Simhapuri University is one of the public state universities located in Andhra Pradesh. The university was established in 2008 and it offers MSc, P.G. and PhD courses among many others with a number of specializations. Some of the universities' constituent colleges are Commerce and Management VSU PG Centre and V.S.U. College of Science and Technology V.S.U. College of Arts. All the colleges have post-graduation courses in many disciplines

  4. Vikrama Simhapuri University offers six courses which also include 17 Postgraduate programs. Other than that, the university offers M.A., MSc, M.P.Ed, Mcom,M.Ed, and M.S.W. courses. The admission criteria is mainly based on the scores acquired in VSUPGCET. Vikrama Simhapuri University: Campus Vikrama Simhapuri University initially functioned in Dargamitta, Nellore. Additionally, the building located there is used as an administrative building. Whereas other classes are held in the Old Law College Campus. This is now known as the V.R. High School Campus. The new campus is being constructed at Kakutur. The government of Andhra Pradesh is funding the construction of the new campus. However, there are many facilities available for the students.

  6. HISTORY Initially, a majority of the colleges in Nellore was under Sri Venkateswara University, however, the Government of Andhra Pradesh passed an order. This order changed the affiliations of all the colleges. Hence, all the colleges came under Vikrama Simhapuri University after that. Moreover, the construction of the permanent has started covering around 87 acres of land in Kakutur Nellore.

  8. INFRASTRUCTURE There are three colleges on the campus and all of them have basic facilities for the students, which encourages a better learning environment for them. Hostel: There are accommodation facilities with two separate buildings, for boys and girls. However, only first-year P.G. students can apply for a room in the hostel, due to limited occupancy. Moreover, PhD students aren’t allowed to avail hostel facilities for the same reason. All the campuses have two separate hostels for boys and girls. Additionally, the hostel university provides food to the students in the hostel along with other facilities, like cot, fan to name a few. There is a good security system for the safety of the students living on the campus. .

  9. INFRASTRUCTURE Library: V.S.U. has an extensive library that has a lot of books and journals both. Moreover, the university has subscribed many e-journals and magazines which is accessible to the students at all times. The students can access e-books and the like, with the help of the internet to make it more convenient for the students. Other facilities: All the campuses have many facilities including a sports complex and computer labs as well. The students can access the e-books and e-journals from the computer labs during specific hours. Moreover, there is an extensive lab for the science students as well. There is a relatively big field for almost every outdoor sports. More than 10 courts are available for the students to play different types of games, some of them include, basketball, football, cricket, badminton etc. Additionally, there is a sports field in the P.G. centre as well for different outdoor sports

  10. INFRASTRUCTURE Placements: V.S.U. has a very efficient placement cell that provides pre-placement talks and training for the students. The placement cell assists all the students and this allows the students to perform extremely well during the placement drive. Various companies participate in the placement drive and recruit a number of students every year. For most of the P.G. courses that are for a duration of three years, the placement report is 95%. The average salary of the students is around INR 1,80,000. The package is the same for P.G. students who have taken courses for a duration of two years as well. However, the placement record for the latter is only around 50%. Fee Structure: Vikrama Simhapuri University fee structure depends on the courses and the level as well. As for PhD courses, the first year fees is around INR 14,000. Similarly, for M.C.A., the first-year fees are INR 15,300. However, for M.B.A., the total fees are INR 20,000. Additionally, the first-year fees for MSc, M.S.W., MA, and MCom is between INR 7,000 to 11,000.

  11. COURSES OFFERED Vikrama Simhapuri University offers courses at the Post Graduate levels. Moreover, they also provide a few PhD courses as well. Masters: The university offers M.A. in Political Science and Public Administration, Economics, Telugu and English. The students have to get through the VSUPGCET in order to acquire a seat in the university. This course is for a duration of two years. Vikrama Simhapuri University also offers M.Sc in Marine Biology, Food Technology, Physics, Zoology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Botany and Applied Mathematics to name a few. Additionally, they also offer MCom with specialisations in Finance and Banking.

  12. COURSES OFFERED The university also offers an M.S.W. course and integrated B.B.A. and M.B.A. There is no requirement to pass the VSUPGCET for the latter. The candidate should be a high school graduate for the same. Vikrama Simhapuri University offers B.F.A. with specializations in Graphics and Painting. The duration for this course is three years, the selection criteria for this course as well is completely based on merit. PhD:As for the doctoral level, the candidates applying should have acquired at least 55% in their masters’ degree. Some of the specialisations include Economics, Zoology, Commerce, English, Physics, Social Work, Marine Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Business Management, and Computer Science. The duration for all PhD courses is three years and the candidate needs to go through the APRCET and a personal interview round to get selected.
