  5. HISTORY  Established by its Founding Chancellor, Dr. Rajiv I Modi. Set up in the loving memory of Dr. Modi folks, Shri Indravadan Ambalal Modi and Smt Shilaben Modi.  Moreover, they have established the framework stone of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(CPL) in 1951.  To respect their tradition of care and sympathy, the college's highest power and Dr. Rajiv Modi work together. In addition to that, they wish to aim for continous development and therefore form the university into a sign of worldwide scholastic greatness. IU has set up by an Act (No.10 of 2017) of State Legislature of Gujarat as a State Private University under the Gujarat Universities Act, 2009.
