  2. If you delete your account: • You can't regain access once it's deleted. • We delay deletion a few days after it's requested. A deletion request is cancelled if you log back into your Facebook account during this time. • Some information, such as messaging history, isn't stored in your account. This means friends may still have access to messages you sent after your account has been deleted. • Copies of some material (example: log records) may remain in our database but are disassociated from personal identifiers. • If you use your Facebook account to log in to Oculus, deleting your Facebook account will also delete your Oculus information. This includes your app purchases and your achievements. You will no longer be able to return any apps and will lose any existing store credits.

What happens if I permanently delete my Facebook account? • You won't be able to reactivate your account. • Your profile, photos, posts, videos, and everything else you've added will be permanently deleted. You won't be able to retrieve anything you've added. • You'll no longer be able to use Facebook Messenger. • You won't be able to use Facebook Login for other apps you may have signed up for with your Facebook account, like Spotify or Pinterest. You may need to contact the apps and websites to recover those accounts. • Some information, like messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to them after you delete your account. Copies of messages you have sent are stored in your friends' inboxes. • If you use your Facebook account to log in to Oculus, deleting your Facebook account will also delete your Oculus information. This includes your app purchases and your achievements. You will no longer be able to return any apps and will lose any existing store credits.

  4. How do I permanently delete my account? Before deleting your account, you may want to log in and download a copy of your information (like your photos and posts) from Facebook, and a copy of your Oculus information if you use your Facebook account to log in to Oculus. After your account has been deleted, you won't be able to retrieve anything you've added. To permanently delete your account: • Click in the top right of Facebook. • Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings. • Click Your Facebook Information in the left column. • Click Deactivation and Deletion. • Choose Permanently Delete Account, then click Continue to Account Deletion. • Click Delete Account, enter your password and then click Continue.

  5. When you delete something you shared on Facebook, it is permanently deleted from your Facebook account. It's deleted from our servers and backup systems, so we're unable to retrieve this deleted content. However, Facebook may keep service-related information about your account, like IP address logins or email changes on your account, to protect your security, prevent abuse, and improve our services. This information may only be fully removed when you permanently delete your account.
