  1. How to Maintain Your Vehicle's Windscreen in the Long Run Windscreens can be expensive to fix, especially if you leave them unchecked. Below are how you can maintain your vehicle’s windscreen. 1.Use good quality products to clean your windscreen. Your car windscreen is and should be cleaned regularly as it is one of the essential parts of the car. A dirty windscreen will cause blurred vision that can lead to accidents. However, when cleaning your windscreen, don’t use ammonia-based glass cleaning products or abrasive household sponges as they will leave scratches on the glass. Use cleaners that are designed for windscreens and use a soft cloth. 2.Replace your wipers. Every windscreen has wipers, and the conditions of the wipers will always affect the condition of your windscreen. The wipers have two components; the metal structure and rubber coating on the outside. When the rubber wears off, your windscreen is exposed to metal that leaves scratches on your windscreen. Therefore, it is essential to replace your windscreen wipers after every six months to a year. 3.Park indoors or under the shade.

  2. The main reason is apparent; to avoid direct sunlight. Exposing your car to direct sunlight damages it, including your windscreen. Not only can the sun damage the windshield, but also extreme temperature changes. Sometimes it is too cold and other times very hot, this change affects your windscreen. It makes it brittle, and eventually, it starts to crack. Also, UV rays can cause damage to tinted glass. 4.Don’t slam your doors. Stop slamming your door. Slamming the door has an impact on the entire car. It causes a vibration that can make windows loose. Eventually, the screen might crack or chip. So, be gentle with your car and close the doors carefully. 5.Repair your windscreen. Accidents happen. You could be driving on the road, and a stone comes up and cracks your windscreen. These chips and cracks, if ignored, can lead to fatal accidents due to the driver's vision being comprised. Therefore, anytime your windscreen cracks, get it repaired immediately. Windscreens are essential, and they are prone to damage. Although we may maintain them extremely well, at some point, they will need repairs.
