  2. CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS • Introduction:-Chartered accountants were the first accountants to build a professional accounting body. • It was built in 1854 in Scotland. The royal character was given by the Edinburgh society of accountants and Aberdeen society of accountants. • Some are employed by the government and other work in the private sector.
