Hi 12x12 Cardstock fans! Amanda from Lace Designs Studio here today. If youu2019ve followed me for a while, youu2019ll know that I used to enjoy baking, therefore, Iu2019m always looking for the opportunity to create a 3D paper cake. There was no exception when it came to this wrestling cake. The idea originally came from designing a cake topper for a customer, but I really wanted to see how the final look was - so I made it myself :)

  2. Can You Heat Emboss on Textured Cardstock? Did you ever stumble upon a happy accident in your cardmaking?  Well, Design Team member Kate did and she's here to share it! If you've been wondering "can you heat emboss on textured cardstock", then keep reading! Kate asked herself this very question and decided to try it out!  She pulled out some Encore Textured Cardstock and a solid stamp and at first she thought it was a fail, but once she used her embossing gun she realized how cool it looked.  So yes, you can emboss on textured cardstock. And the results are super cool.  The cardstock still retains the texture under the embossing, creating a beautiful pattern.  The embossed texture and uneven embossing results in such a cool vintage look.
