  1. Company Formation Made Easier Company formation is widely known as incorporation. A company cannot operate until it is incorporated at Companies House. One or more persons can form a company for any lawful purpose by fulfilling all the legal requirements. In the eyes of the law, a company is a separate entity from the individual who owns it. For setting up a company in Oman, one has to first choose a name for the company that has not already been registered. Today, a company can be formed within a day's time through the internet and with the assistance of agents who provide various services, such as preparing the paper work, at nominal prices. This fee excludes the cost of preparing the memorandum of association and articles of association, which is usually done by a chartered accountant or a lawyer. Setting up a company in Oman: Documents Required Memorandum of association: This document mainly specifies the relationship of the company with outsiders, such as clients, government bodies, etc. Articles of association: This is the document that sets the rules for carrying out the company's internal matters and processes. Form 10: This gives the details of the name and address of the director, secretary and specified address of the registered office. It also contains other mandatory details and signatures. The electronic process is the fastest way to form a company, as compared to the offline process. There are basically two ways of filing an application, electronic filing or paper filing. If the application satisfies all the criteria, the company is registered. Using electronic filing, incorporation can be completed same day if all the documents are correctly filled and the proposed company name is available. The company gets registered and a certificate is issued. In case of electronic registration, the certificate issued is also electronic. The company formation documents are sent to Companies House and are subjected to certain checks. If all the documents are found appropriate, a certificate is issued and displayed on the public records for inspection.
