  1. Practicing French Winter 2022 - 123 Petits Pas Nature walk!Go out and explore a trail or even your own neighbourhood and bring along one of our cheat sheets. Name the various things you see on your walk or turn it in to a scavenger hunt or game. You can even make a game of getting ready to go outside with all the things you need to go out and play!  Outdoor snow kitchen! Create your very own snow kitchen by taking some simple  everyday kitchen materials outside and let your children’s imaginations run wild! Some  key French vocabulary may include:  – la cuisine: kitchen  – patisserie: baking – cuillière: spoon – bol: bowl – remuer: stir – mélanger: mix  We hope you will enjoy these ideas to get outside and play and of course, practice French! 

  2. Preparing for School with French Books! Kindergarten is a new and sometimes scary experience for our children, but with the help of some fun and relatable stories that show the joys of the kindergarten experience. Help your child in preparing for School with French Books and hopefully, your child’s worries will disappear. When reading the books together, ask them questions to get discussions started. Some great questions to ask include:  “Do you think school will be fun?” Tell them some stories about the friends you met / things you enjoyed when you were in school. “Are you excited about school? Why?” After listening to why they’re excited, be sure to share why you’re excited for them to experience school! “Are you nervous about school? Why?” Let them know it’s normal to be nervous for something new but that you’re going to be so proud and then read a few of the book together below to help!
