  1. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Brunk Auctions has been selling fine and decorative arts for more than 30 years. Auctions are held in our North Carolina showroom, but attract a global audience. Founded by Robert Brunk in 1983, the auctions became known for their integrity and professionalism.

  2. Lê Phổ was born the tenth child in a family of 20 and was allowed to pursue art at a young age. His father was the Viceroy of Tonkin, now North Vietnam. During the 1920s, when Lê Phổ was still a teenager, he enrolled at the École des Beaux- Arts in Hanoi. His experience at university encouraged him to travel to Paris and continue his studies. This experience in Paris, together with the French colonial influence in Vietnam during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, connected Lê Phổ with the Impressionist movement. The next Brunk Auctions event will showcase over 350 lots of coins and currency. The lots featured in the auction are from the entire range of United States minting, including pieces dating back to 1796. An offered set of 50 peso Mexican gold coins features the popular Victory winged design. They were made between 1921 and 1947.
