STRETCHES FOR BACK PAIN Back Flexion Stretch: Lie down on your back before pulling both knees to the chest while also flexing the head forward until you feel a comfortable stretch across the mid and low back. Knee to Chest Stretch: Lying on your back with the knees bent, place both hands behind one knee before pulling it toward the chest. You will feel the stretch in the gluteus and piriformis muscles in the buttock.
