Thyroid disease

Thyroid diseases are medical conditions that affect the thyroid gland, which is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck. The thyroid gland is responsible for producing hormones that regulate the body's metabolism, energy production, and many other vital functions. Thyroid diseases can be broadly categorized based on whether they result in the thyroid producing too much, too little, or irregularly functioning hormones, as well as structural problems with the gland itself
