  1. A story by Mr. Warren December 2010 T’was the Week Before Christmas I hope you and your family have a great Holiday Season! I’ll look forward to seeing you in 2011! -Mr. Warren

  2. T’was the week before Christmas when all through the school, all the children were busy, obeying each rule!

  3. The stockings were hung in the hallway with care.In hopes that Saint Nicholas would leave gifts in there.

  4. The children were nestled all snug in their seats, Ainsley thought of Christmas time, candy and treats.

  5. And Hailey at her table. sitting by the map.Jay sure appeared ready for a long winter’s nap.

  6. When out in the hall, there arose such a clatter,I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter. Away to the doorway I flew like a flash,Knocked open my desk drawer and spilled some Warren Cash.

  7. The kids were curious, and wanted to know,“Who’s at our door?” Yuvraj asked, “Is it time to go?” When, what to my wondering eyes should appear? But a bunch of my kids with a smile and a cheer.

  8. Next came a knock at our door, Justean answered quick. In came Ms. Charity with mail from Saint Nick.

  9. She opened the letter and started the game. Then I whistled and shouted and called every name:“Now, Dallas! Now, Dilroop Now, Piper and Nathan! Come, Carson! Come, Caitlin! Come, Rachel and Stason! To the front of the class, get ready for the hall! Now I say, now I say, now I say ALL!”

  10. As I looked at the children, I held the clue high, Then I asked for a reader to give it a try. So Aadil read, “Here’s a fun puzzle for you. To figure it out, you must read every clue.”

  11. And then in a minute we all had a grin, so we went to the library.Lukas let us in.Mrs. Woodring was there, checking out a book.Xiangru asked, “Do you have something for us? Will you please take a look?”

  12. She found another letter that Santa had put, on a shelf in the library close to her foot. Sujay raised his hand to read the clue back,It spoke of a place where you might eat a snack.

  13. This clue was all wrinkled but sounded quite merry. We went to the lunch room, to find our next query. The lunch room was quiet, we didn’t see a soul. Ananya added, “We must find that clue or we just can’t go!” We searched the cafeteria from ceiling to floor,Angelina found the clue, hidden close to the door.

  14. It sent us where you go when you’re hurt or get sick.“I know,” said Gurshaan, “To the nurse’s office! Let’s get there quick!” It was Zoe, who found the next clue on the shelf, Our nurse gave it to her and she read it herself.

  15. A wink of my eye and a nod of my head, “To Mrs. Cassell’s office!” Harrison said. We spoke not a word but went straight to her door,Mallory noticed a bag on the floor.

  16. Down the front hallway,Our class walked in a hurry, like tiny little mice when they run in a scurry. I carried the goodie bag over my back.We returned to our room where Elizabeth emptied the sack.

  17. With the party all finished and the day all done,I dismissed my students ‘cause the break had begun. I said as they board buses and rode out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
