  3. TASK 1 Look at what Raleigh and Stanhope have said about each other and note it down in your books. Based on what they have said, Write a paragraph discussing the conflicts and tension they have between them?

  4. TASK 2 Individually write the letter that Raleigh is sending home.

  5. HOMEWORK TASK One of the themes in our play is friendship and comradeship. Osborne, whom everyone refers to as ‘uncle’, is clearly respected and mature. He seems to try to take care of people and there are several incidents where we can see him caring for and looking after Stanhope. Re-read pgs 37-48 You ARE Osborne - Write a DIARY entry about YOUR feelings regarding the censorship of the letter. Due: Sunday, March 14th • You might consider the following: • What you thinks of Raleigh • How you feel about Stanhope and your friendship with Stanhope • What you thinks about Stanhope’s fear –do you understand it? • How you feel when you discover that Stanhope wants to censor Raleigh’s letter • What you think about Stanhope’s confrontation and Raleigh’s reaction • How you feel when you read the letter to Stanhope and discover what was written
