  2. ABOUT WWF • WWF stood for “ World Wildlife Fund”. • This organization conserve nature and ecological processes.

  3. ABOUT WWF-TURKEY • WWF-TURKEY established in 1996. It is the Turkey National Organization of the WWF International. • This organisation conserve the biodiversity and natural resources of Turkey.

  4. WWF-TURKEY’s projects about protecting species and regions are examined by government and this organisation try to find concrete solutions for the enviroment.

  5. Enviroment Protection Projects: • Living water • Sea and shores • Forests and steppes

  6. SUCCESSES: • Kure mountains declared as a national park. • “Shore’s administration and Tourism” project was rewarded. • The river Ulubat is included in “Living Lakes”. • 122 region, existing varied species of plants is announced by WWF-TURKEY.

  7. Water Sources Project • Rational usage of water sources in Konya interior basin. • Protecting the biodiversity in Ulubat lake.

  8. Sea and Shores Project • Protecting regions used by caretta carettas to ovulate. • The tourism and conserving project of Likya shores put into practice.

  9. Forest Project: • Detecting protected habitats in Mediterranean Region. • Trying to locate the Panthera Pardus Tuliana.

  10. Turkey has 254 plant species facing with extinction but only %1 of the regions having these species are protecting. • WWF-TURKEY continue working about this situation and they are trying to find solutions.

  11. In sabanci university people are sensitive about enviroment. There are recycle bins and there is group of students who put a lot of work in for the enviroment.
