UNC Global Guide to Making an Event Poster • Templates • Templates for posters for events are listed on the UNC Global website. • Consider including the following information (as applicable to your event): • Date • Time • Location • Title of the Event • Event, Movie, or Speaker Picture/Photo • Speaker’s Name • Sponsoring organization information, emblem, or logo (Permission to use the emblem may be necessary) • At least a paragraph of information, summary, or explanation of the event • Basic information about future events if part of a lecture series • Your organization’s social media accounts • Design tips to consider: • Don’t be afraid of non-traditional fonts and colors • Break up text with horizontal rules • Choose engaging photos or artwork • Avoid visual clutter (too much text or too many photos)

To do this please click on ‘file’ at the top left corner of the screen and then click ‘save as’. Another screen will open and you will see the two boxes ‘file name’ and ‘save as type’. In ‘file name’, name your file the title of your event. Under ‘save as type’ use the scrolling menu to choose the PDF option. Finally, click save.
