  1. Industrial Effluent Treatment Plant: Aqua Pristine This very useful paper deals with the optimization of industrial Effluent Treatment Plant and processes to reduce total operating costs. Before reviewing the operation of their effluent treatment plant, companies are urged to take action to minimize the amount and strength of the effluent created by production processes. Producing less effluent in the first place will reduce the demands made on the effluent treatment plant and thus save both money and effort. An effluent treatment plant will cost less to run if the site produces less effluent in the first place. Significant cost savings can be achieved by reducing both the amount and strength of the raw effluent entering the plant. Considering the effluent treatment plant as an integral part of the company’s operations, and not just as an end-of-pipe necessity, will help to maximize savings. This approach also offers greater opportunities for chemical and water reuse within the site. Some plants are not receiving sewage in sufficient quantity for which the plants were designed, resulting in capacity under- utilization. Many of the sewage treatment facilities are not functioning optimally and reporting systems and response mechanisms are weak. For commercial establishments it is mandatory to treat their sewage water using Local Sewage Treatment Plant. Only after complete treatment they can achieve treated water

  2. as per pollution control board norms and they can either dispose to local sewer line or dispose to environment or reuse for non-potable applications.
