Problem • Many students and staff and unprepared to respond to a medical emergency such as sudden cardiac arrest or minor injuries. • Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States that could be prevented by citizens who are prepared with Safety, First Aid, and CPR training.

  3. Goal • Provide a class for students to take to become CPR and First Aid certified. • Have an in service for teachers to become CPR and First Aid certified.

  4. Solution • Have Health and Physical Education teachers become CPR and First Aid certified instructors. • Acquire the necessary equipment (mannequins, safety masks, etc.) to be able to teach students and staff.
