  6. Search for • Physics motivation • Glueballs and hybrids expected in QCD • Slow J/ψ bump observed by CLEO, and confirmed by BaBar & Belle • is a possible source • Search for signal of • based on 78 fb-1 • Decay chain : with • Selection of prompt , reconstruction of Λ and B meson

  7. Search for • Candidates : 6 events in signal box • signal yield : 4.7±2.7 • statistical significance : 2.8 •No significant signal is found, and an upper limit at 90% CL is obtained : published to Phys. Rev. D69, 017101(2004)

  8. Search for • Event selection criteria is optimized • 140 fb-1 data • More data required • Other decay modes : Talk given by Xie Q.L.on Belle ICPV physics meeting on 27 May 2004 (not published) Observed an excess of 7 events in signal box Selected candidates from 140fb-1 data

  14. Plan for next year •Continue our search for signal with more decay channels from 140 fb-1 data •Determination of mixing parameters by using 90 fb-1 data. Finish referee process and publish it. • Visit plan in Apr 2004 – Mar 2005 12Staff-months 26 PhD student-months shared by 6 staff and 4 PhD students • We greatly appreciate support from JSPS/KEK/Belle and efficient management from Profs F.Takasaki, M.Yamauchi and Y.Sakai (Belle/KEK)
