The type of trial : Criminal • The chronology of the case : • The trial lasted for 315 days • March 13th, 1946, Göring is the first defendant to speak, witness at his own trial • Anglo-Saxon law in force in Nuremberg • organizations charged: the office of Reich, the body of the political leaders of the Nazi party, the SS (protection groups of the Nazi Party), the Gestapo (secret state police ), SA (groups attack the Nazi Party), the major state and the high command • August 31st, 1946, 21 defendants present at the Nuremberg trials deliver their last statements History of the case

Rosenberg was born in Estonia • A philosopher • Rosenberg's book promoting the Nazi philosophy was entitled The Myth of the Twentieth Century • He arranged the theft of fine art and furniture from Jewish apartments in Paris • Rosenberg helped to plan attack on Norway, Developed policies of Germanization, exploitation, and extermination of opponents of Nazi rule.His directives provided for the segregation of Jews in Ghettos, facilitating their mass killing.
