  3. So where is it? 180 Miles South of State College 4 hour drive Located near Dolly Sods

  4. Camping • Seneca Shadows NFS campground • Princess Snowbird aka Yokum’s • 2 Guideshops & 1 gear store (The Gendarme) • General store & restaurant • Visitor Center

  5. Weather • Best climbing in late spring/early fall • No shade in summer on many routes • Known for freak wind and t-storms → epics!

  6. The South Summit Highest landform accessible only via technical rock climbing east of the Mississippi

  7. Gunsight to South Peak 5.3

  8. Le Gourmet 5.4

  9. Ecstasy 5.7

  10. What to Expect • Smackdown approach • Weekend lines • Tricky rap stations • Falling Rocks

  11. Gear • Two 60 m ropes • Standard rack of stoppers + cams, doubles helpful • Food, water, rain and windgear, sunscreen, headlamps • HELMETS!!!

  12. Absolute Classics • Old Ladies’ Route, 5.2 (4 pitches) • Gunsight to South Peak, 5.3 (2-3 pitches) • Le Gourmet, 5.4 (4 pitches) • Ecstasy, 5.7 (3 pitches)
