IB Diploma Magnet Program at RM • The IB Magnet Program at RMHS is entering its 22nd year. • 98% of the class of 2009 achieved the IB diploma - 118 students • RM students consistently score higher than world averages. • Average points earned by candidates completing the diploma: 35 • Highest diploma points awarded to a candidate: 43 • Average grade obtained at RM by candidates who earned the diploma: 5.44 • Number of subjects above worldwide averages: 24 out of 26 (most 1 point above).

IB Senior Time line October • IB Exam Registration – October 15th • IB Exam Payment - Payment in full (or first installment) is due in the IB Office with the registration form by October 15th • Group 4 Field Trip - October 13 • Submit CAS Updates November • Group 4 (Science) lab report – Due date varies by course. • Math SL and Math Studies IA pre-meeting – Mid November December • Submit CAS Updates • Group 4 (Science)presentations and symposium – December 15 • IB Exam Payment – Payment is due in the IB Office by December 4 • Math SL Portfolio #1 – Mid December • World Lit Paper #2 and revised Paper #1 – December 14 • Senior TOK NY trip – December 11 • History IA Outline – December 9

Senior Time Line (cont) January • TOK Prescribed Title – EO MP • Math Studies Project and Math SL Portfolio – Mid January • English Orals -- Mid January February • Submit CAS updates • History IA – February 16 • Extended Essay Expo - TBA • Foreign Language - Oral exams mid-February (date TBD) • Theater IA and investigations – Feb 15 -19 • Music - Recordings March /April • Submit CAS updates - FINAL • History Orals – March 18 • IAs graded and samples submitted to IB • Predicted Grades sent to IB • Theater IA and investigations – March 5 • Music - Musical investigations March 6 • Art - Garage Gallery opens March 22

  6. Senior Time Line (cont) May • IB and AP Exams – Scheduled May 4 – May 22. AP dates on the IB calendar may be modified to avoid some IB conflicts. IB dates may not be changed. • Prom! – May 14 • Senior Celebration – May 27. June • Graduation! Maybe 6/9….pm event July • Results are available to IB students via the Worldwide Web.
