Committees and their responsibilities • Student Concerns/School Improvement • Chairs: Kelly Schmidt and Mitch Butler Co-Chair: Evan Cronin • Receiving and addressing concerns, trophy polishing, weeding • Spirit/Activities • Chair: Caitlin Selvaggi Co-Chair: Rachel Farnin • Photography, plan and organize activities • Service & Welfare • Chair: Sam Colloi Co-Chair: Heather Zezzo • Fundraising, selling event-related products (i.e. Pink-Out shirts for the Pink-Out game), community outreach • Publicity • Chair: Sarah Holloway Co-Chair: Maggie Gratz • Posters, banners, flyers, pretzel sales, videos, newspaper adds

  7. Upcoming Events October

Homeroom Representatives • Each member of SGO is assigned one homeroom • Report to your homeroom the Monday following an SGO meeting • Since there are two SGO meetings per month, you will go to your homeroom two times. First homeroom report is Monday, October 10th . • The purposes of homeroom reps: • To create a stronger connection between SGO and the student body • To better inform the student body of SGO and other school events. This will increase event participation/attendance.

Homeroom Representatives • Homeroom rep procedure: • Print out report from SGO Wikispace • Pick and choose announcements that concern your homeroom (always include any announcements from SGO) • SGO events for October to talk about: UNO’s Night, Spirit Week, Pink-Out • Go to assigned homeroom and read announcements from the report • Give information and answer questions concerning upcoming events • Note any student concerns • Get report signed by homeroom teacher • Put report in your mailbox • Build a relationship between you and the homeroom. You will be with your assigned homeroom throughout the entire year.

  10. Spirit Week • October 10th – October 14th • Classy Monday • Twin Tuesday • Phillies Wednesday • College Thursday • Black & Gold Friday • * SGO members will participate every day. Show your spirit!  • For each day: • During homeroom, teachers will give a raffle ticket to students who are wearing that day’s attire. Tickets will be submitted into the raffle. There will be a school-wide drawing at the end of the day for two homecoming football game tickets. This applies for Monday through Thursday. On Friday, there will be a drawing for students that have participated all five days. The drawing will take place at the Pep Rally. The two winners of this drawing will receive homecoming dance tickets. If they have already purchased a ticket before, they will merely be reimbursed.

  11. UNO’s Night Thursday, October 13th At the restaurant, students will hand in coupon to waiter They will then keep receipt and give it to homeroom teacher The homeroom with the most receipts wins a grand prize (to be determined)

  12. Pink-Out • Friday, October 28th • Goals: • Create posters • Newspaper ads • Pink-Out shirts • Wristbands? • Create Facebook event • Club representation? • T-shirt sales

Pretzel Sales • Sign up during a meeting! • Sales take place after school in the lobby on Tuesdays • If you are signed up: • Receive pass from Ms. McHale to leave your 4th block class 5 minutes early • Pick up cash-box from Ms. McHale • Pick up soft pretzels • Return cash-box after sales (probably around 2:50)

  14. Assignments Present your report to your homeroom on Monday and give UNO’s Night coupons to homeroom teacher Pretzel sales (if you are signed up) Committee work
