  8. 1. IS THE IMF THAT BAD ? Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea: Laws were changed to make it more investor-friendly 5/11/97: Indonesia signed agreement for IMF to come in. A despot was subsequently removed. Today Indonesia is set to overtake Malaysia! Indonesia President: Suharto IMF President But there will be pain. Are you ready for it? People will not change unless they are in pain!

  9. WHAT WE NEED ! The US: A depression does a lot of good. It wipes out bad investments and eliminates bad speculators. It forces capital into more productive, more profitable uses. It kills off zombie industries. It retires worn-out industries and reduces costs so that new industries can arise. It’s the ‘destruction’ that Schumpeter’s ‘creative destruction’ needs.   21. POST-GE13 8. Since the economy is down, there won’t be money to steal anymore, 9. The parasites go away, 10. The foreign labour leave. 11. IMF will come in to help us clean up the mess. Sure, we have to sell some assets. That's what we are doing now anyway. But to a crony at fire-sale prices.

In Summary • The Political Domain • Unless something major happens, the BN will win again. • The undecided voters will decide whether the BN gets its 2/3 majority. • The Social Domain • We must do everything possible to avoid a Malaysian Spring. • We need to appeal, especially to the youth, for restraint and self-discipline. • The Economic Domain • We must prepare for hard times. • We must protect our assets.

  25. RECAP We must prepare for the financial crisis by protecting our savings. Keep 3 months cash for day-to-day expenses. Beyond that, convert as much as you can afford into precious metals to protect against a currency devaluation. Stock up on dried food and essentials. Grow your own food.
