  6. Xtranormal • http://www.xtranormal.com/ • Xtranormal is a website that allows the use of animated characters to speak from text. It is useful with teaching lessons for engagement. Use the available resources

  7. You can create Stixy presentations of lessons, as well as, provide instructions, graphics and videos for students that were not present for your day’s lesson. It can also be made available on a website for students to use at home when completing homework. Parents could also view the tutorial or lesson at home on their computer and feel more comfortable assisting their middle school child in Algebra. Stixy

  8. Wallwisher is an excellent website for creating online discussions. After a question is posted, students can reply and view other replies from their classmates. Wallwisher

  9. http://prezi.com/ • Prezi is a wonderful website for showing off information. It allows the user to use different zooming options to emphasize facts, data, questions, pictures, graphs, etc. Prezi

  12. When creating presentations it is important to research graphics and videos. You can also create your own graphics and videos. I usually do a clip art search for graphics or use my camera to take pictures of relevant information. Effective use of Technology

  13. For this activity you will use the internet to search for math graphics and videos on a AKS of your choice. You will save your findings in a self-created folder with your name on it. Once you have at least 5 graphics and 2 videos, we will use it to create a Stixy. Activity

  14. Logon to www.Wallwisher.com/wall/smcdow and respond to the command on the wall that I created. How could you incorporate Wallwisher in your lessons? Share your ideas with your group. Activity

  15. Create two lesson plans using either Prezi, Wallwisher, Stixy, Xtranormal or a combination of the four for an AKS that you will be teaching this school year. • At least one lesson plan should give the students the opportunity to use the online resources. • The assessment will be evaluated using the provided rubric.
